What is the trend called?

Even though it's short, the freeze with Sophia Lillis toward the end of the film is well worth it. We see her running, reaching out, and freezing in place as a live freeze, with a surprised expression. Then we get a few other shots, that all appear live-freeze to me.

I found one really good freeze scene in the middle of the film, when the dream cop gets frozen by her own freeze gun.

The movie Spirited, which just premiered on Apple TV, probably has freezes sprinkled throughout, based on the trailer. Anyone see it?

You can rent a new movie on Amazon Prime called "Deborah", about an Alexa-like device that can pause and rewind time. The characters use it frequently to freeze time throughout the film. The freezes are mostly video pauses, but I believe a few are live action.

So far I have found a few freezes. In the first episode, during the first big fight after the dance sequence (which features a robot dance), Rumor freezes her female opponent. In a later episode (3 or 4), in the opening scene there are some frozen tableaus where the actors are holding their poses.
