Re: My Adventures with Superman

To build on this, it's a freeze ray that traps people in glacier-like blocks, so they're nicely caught mid-motion and such, but it's kinda hard to see the people inside the ice. Also it's pretty much all nameless extras.

Re: Dungeons and Dragons Honor Among Thieves

Looks like the digital release is set for mid-May. I found a couple of contradictory sources but two said May 16th.

Re: THE TROOP S1E05

The episode the Wrath of the Wraith had a sort of hypno freeze too where people basically get hypnotized by fear and freeze in place.

Legendary Heroes Petrification

In this live-action sentai-style series that draws upon the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, episode 48 through 50 features a villain who turns people to stone. Link below with a timestamp. Not a fan of the effect myself (simple photoshop trick like from the 90s) but randomly came across it so I figur...

Re: The Bastard Son & The Devil Himself

Don't have one myself but it's on Netflix. The freeze never wears off/is released that episode from what I saw. A couple of cute ladies but nothing stood out too much (cutest girl was in a dark room). It's also a freeze where the people are frozen but time isn't, which I'm a sucker for.

Re: Spirited

I skimmed through it, only noticed 2: one near the beginning and one at the climax. Both were decent length but didn't really focus on the frozen people at all so while you got some decent live action stuff mixed with FX freezing it's hard to fully appreciate.

Yep, 23:38 roughly, lasts about 2 minutes with a decent couple of shots of Sophia Bush.

Re: Deborah

The first one is around 20 minutes in I think? That one's one of the better ones since it's the first one and lingers so it's the one they probably tried to make look best. Some of the latter ones are mid-motion and have the video freeze motion blur but some, while probably still video freeze, at le...

Re: KV-250 timestop

I like this one. Kinda hard to explain why... I usually don't like single victim ones that much as while they're nice they can get a bit redundant, and this one does a bit. I think the girl's particularly good, getting stripped, posed and moved around a fair a bit, and holding a freeze fairly well.

Stillforce guy returns. There's two freezes in this episode, both featuring background extras but some cute women can be seen. I've got a clip link to the first freeze, second one is a bit over halfway through the episode.

Same, Been scanning Charmed and Flash on CW this season (especially since Flash has the Stillforce guy kicking around) and oh man were both extra awful this season.

Re: Fairly Odd Parents

The show is out. Episode 3 is where it happens. She's turned into a statue about halfway in and remains a statue for most of the episode. Not a lot of physical contact with the statue itself so if you were looking for that it's a no go.

Re: Legends of Tomorrow

The time-freezing device did indeed appear again in the finale. About halfway through the episode a World War I battle is frozen (so all dudes) but then a batch of the protagonists are also found frozen in comical poses briefly before time is unfrozen. Some actual close-ups so that was a plus.

The show is continuing to have a freeze of some kind a season. Here's hoping the freezing time device pops up again before the season wraps.

Another freeze in tonight's episode. Last season a guy showed up who could create timeloops and effectively freeze time, and he returns in this episode to freeze a train station. It's around halfway through, Armageddon part 3.

I mean it's a CW show, if their protagonists don't look like they could be the starts of a romance novel aimed at teens then the casting director is fired.

Amazing find and curating puducu! Yeah the voiceover takes you out of it a bit but there's always the mute button :D I pretty much always use mute on clips from this thread unless it's a longer thing where there might be some narrative bit I may find interesting. Don't think we'll need to do that w...

Season 1 episode 9 has a decent one, ditto Season 3 episode 2. The freezes occur in the back-half of each episode (I can't get the timestamp to work right now for some weird reason).

Checked the original source, and in Ryusoulger (Dino Fury's original Super Sentai counterpart) it's Medusa Minotaur, who turns people to stone via photoshop. No real victims to write home about there.
