Autism/Asperger’s Syndrome

Just wondering if anyone here has Asperger’s Syndrome or high functioning autism?

Asperger’s is no longer a diagnosis but has been lumped together and is considered on the autism spectrum. It generally involves developmental delays for social interactions. Speech and intelligence are usually normal to high intelligence.

If you are not sure, here is an online test:

I’m just curious. I also have Asperger’s. I guess I should have mentioned that.

Since our fetish involves control, i was thinking that might somehow be related to Asperger’s in that we like fixed routines and need to maintain control of certain facets of our life.

Just a thought.

I have HFA and it definitely relates to my preference to not have to socialise. I like focusing in a moment more than "spending time"

Never was diagnosed but I present most of the common traits of a person in the autism spectrum.

For example, that quiz gave me a result of:

Your neurodiverse (Aspie) score: 104 of 200
Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 94 of 200
You seem to have both neurodiverse and neurotypical traits

I'm not so sure about it being related to the fetish itself. My wife didn't want to be hypnotized to be frozen because of all the "surprises" that i might perform on her. She eventually allowed me to do it but with several limitations to suit her aspie nature. As for the person doing the freezing having aspie i cannot say.

Are you aware of the saying, "If you've met one person with autism, you've met one person with autism." Although there are some fairly general traits, no two autistic people are exactly alike in how it presents itself.

I do agree with you that it's a control thing. i think of it as a more extreme form of bondage.

Wow, it's taken me this long to discover this thread.

Well, I've never been formally diagnosed, but I'm pretty sure I'm somewhere on the spectrum because I do tick all of the boxes. Whether or not it has any direct connection to this fetish, I can't say, but ASFR is one of the things that's kept me going over the years, so if it is connected I can chalk it up as one of the saving graces.
