youtube vids

Post by Jay »

Anyone know of any good(good meaning free) programs I can use to save youtube vids into my computer? The site I used for a long time is no longer working.

Try Mozilla Firefox and download the downloading extension. It's been very reliable for me.

My downloader stopped working, but this one will convert it through the web and email you when it's ready to go pick up. No waiting in lines, no secret codes, it's a clean site.

I tried Zamzar and it didn't seem to work for me - maybe it doesn't like disposable email addresses? Anyway, I prefer Keepvid myself, it works great with Youtube and supports lots of web video sites.

I've also used vixy.net which gives you the option of converting videos into various formats. It's sometimes a little slow however.

The Unplug extension for FireFox works flawlessly.
Seize the moment.

Literally.
