I don't know if anyone has seen this classic, but I am watching it for the first time and saw a wonderful freeze scene about 38 minutes in. First, there is a line of women dressed as toy soldiers moving mechanically. Very quick shots, but somewhat satisfying. Next, during a musical number, about a dozen women are holding complicated poses like mannequins in store windows at the back of a stage, and there are single shots of each one that last long enough to soak them all in. It's definitely worth watching.
I will report any other scenes as I come upon them.
SINGIN' IN THE RAIN
Yes another scene - one of the best I have seen in a musical - has various women and men posed in really animated complicated poses being moved along a conveyor belt behind a dancing Gene Kelly. Really great poses!
A few minutes after this moment, there is an entire room full of people who suddenly freezes as Gene Kelly notices Jean Hagen. It's a wide shot, but it's still not bad.
