Star Trek TNG clips.

Post by meh »

I've only got one uploaded now but I'll get the other one up soon and just edit this post when it's uploaded. I also renamed the file extensions to .txt so it wouldn't get deleted on copyright grounds. Just rename its extension to .avi and it will play.

The first one is on the Holodeck and Geordi needs to recreated a mission. It's got frozen people and rewinding, it's a pretty sweet clip and it's one of my favorite episodes too.

Episode: 'Identity Crisis' Season 4

The next episode is from season 6, "Timescape". It's basically a non-porn version of our timestop videos but with a sci twist!

Picard, Geordi, Data and Troi are able to move around on a seemingly frozen ship, the last two caps are of Picard freaking out while a frozen woman looks on in the background.

http://www.fileconvoy.com/dfl.php?id=gf ... 5cb1e67541 As with the other one, I renamed extensions to .txt, just put change them to .avi and they will work normally. There's more clips to upload, hopefully I'll get those up soon.

I'm not sure if the video producers check this part of the forums out but I love the slow camera movement and pans around the people standing still, I'd love to see similar plots for time stop movies... maybe not sci fi themed but with good usage of exploring and less "stick it in her til he cums" plots. Maybe there could be a movie where someone needs to steal info on a computer at an office and he needs to check each girls computer. He could use their hands to control the mouse, so they're involuntarily helping the guy get the info while they're sitting there frozen at the computers, I dunno just thinking of stuff. :p

I'm working on solving a codec issue with Vegas, in the mean time I posted some screen shots of the episode I'm trying to render. :p

I remember the first time that Timescape aired and I didn't have a tape ready in the VCR. I only managed to catch half of it. Then when it played in syndication, I actually used a vacation day just so I could get a crystal clear copy. This was pre-internet of course, but sometimes good detail is everything. Lol!

Season 6 should be out in a few months on BR, I've already got 1 - 5 and I've basically been waiting this entire time just for that episode. :p

I would have ripped 'Identity Crisis' from the br to get it crystal clear but I don't have a br drive on any of my comps. :(

I actually did the same thing. I called off work the night that "Return of the Prankster" episode from Louis and Clark aired originally. I was afraid that my VCR timer wouldn't work. And I just wanted to watch it anyways.

Worth it in so many ways....lol

I probably wore the VHS tape out in a few spots during that episode.

And I'll just leave it at that. lol

That episode was truly a challenge once it gets to the presidential crowd scene. Lol!

But back to Star Trek... In regards to the TNG/Voyager era; there were some freeze-like scenes in 'Blink of an Eye' although the intruders are actually sped-up in time so that the crew members only appear to be frozen. 'Persistence in Vision' also had some scenes, but these were more of the hypnotized at attention (or sitting at their stations) variety. There were only two or three female crew members shown and they were in the background. There's a scene where a door reopens and Janeway is standing stiff with a thousand yard stare, but she never really did it for me... None of those are as good as the Timescape scenes though.

Oh that's one of my favorite episodes of L&C, even though she's faking it at the end, I love how Balki picks her up and moves her out of the way to get to the Pres. :D

I uploaded half of the clips from Timescape, there's a bunch of other parts including data and an alien walking around the crew who going backwards in time.
