Haven

Post by Zero »

So in episode 5x14 of Haven, titled New World Order, a character ends up demonstrating the ability to freeze people when he's afraid. Pretty average mixed group of people but it happens in a couple of scenes. Didn't seem to pop up in the following episode, Power, but an upcoming episode description mentions 'stasis' so who knows, might get another scene before the show ends its run.

5x14? That's first new episode from this new final season?

I missed the premiere and haven't had time to watch it yet.

Yeah, full season is 26 episodes split between airing in 2015 and 2014, so rather than seasons 5 and 6 it's 5A and 5B. SyFy does that a lot.

Well, Episode 23 of Season 5 (or I guess the 10th episode of Season 5B) has another freeze. This time around in the last 5 minutes or so of the episode a guy freezes a police station full of primarily men and two women (one's an extra you barely see and the other, more prominent one is pretty old). Then, however, Emily Rose's Audrey not only gets frozen but even briefly dragged. Screenshots and hopefully clips to follow.

Nah, she just ends up tied to a chair and apparently asleep/knocked out somewhere along the line, so she just wakes up rather than unfreezing later. I think they were trying to rush to the episode's dramatic reveal of the big bad of the entire show.

Yeah I was hoping to see her frozen again. Oh well.

But the big bad is really old and fat now. Hahahah

One last freeze as the show ends its run. Once again Emily Rose is immobilized.

I can just imagine the creative meetings.

"We need someone SyFy fans-"

"Is it too late to fix that stupid rebranding?"

"-will love seeing on our show, who is also Canadian since we film in Canada."

"There another Canadian wrestler we can cast?"

"Already did that twice, plus Smackdown's moving to USA now so forget that."

"Well, I guess William Shatner, but I mean he's like 80 now..."

"SOLD!"

IMHO Heaven wouldn't have had such an memorable conclusion without the... Price Line Negotiator.
