Ancient shoe commercial

Post by Corey Fantoccini »

Brazillian (?) shoe manufacturer Grendene were arguably the first to market the plastic, or "jelly" shoe, a notorious favorite of "The Dude." And they apparently loved to market the plastic concept - their ad campaigns frequently involve doll imagery.

But in this one, they go all the way, with models in impractical frozen mannequin poses on a conveyor belt. The picture quality is really bad, but you can make it out; maybe this will shake loose a collector with a better copy of the ad. It starts at 5:30 in this reel:

Very nice, Corey. And always remember: "The dude abides!"
