Looking for an 80s sci fi movie...

Ok, this is a shot in the dark.....

Im looking for a low budget scifi/horror movie that came out sometime in the mid to late 80s. It involved alien women invading a high school and turning people into large vegetables(i told ya it was bad). In this movie there is a freeze involving 4 teens, 2 of them girls. I cant rememeber if its any good or not. lol So I was wondering if anyone knew the title?

I remember a crap-fest called 'Killer Klowns from Outer Space' where townsfolk are cocooned in cotton candy by sinister looking clowns! There were two teenage girls that went into a convenience store and get cocooned, (sadly enough, no transformation is shown, just the end results, with their heels sticking out of the blob of cotton candy).
