any free user of kling AI having trouble generating videos from images (or anything)?
it says that the server is busy, so free users temporarily cannot generate.
Yes, I have this problem too, which is why I ended up giving up, but there is a strategy for using Veo 3.
It works like this: you log in to your main account, then register on Google Flow, and say you are a student (there are tutorials that teach you how to create a fake student account, which you can link to your main account). With this, Google gives you 18 months, and you can cancel it when the 18 months are up for free).
So once you log in, you access Google's AI studio, where you can make videos on Veo 2 using images as a base. I don't know the exact number, but I believe it could be about 10. The problem is that if I upload an image that they consider invalid (like a woman wearing a low-cut dress), it counts as one video... But the good thing is that sometimes it bugs out, and when it turns out that I've reached my video limit, if I wait about 10 minutes, I can make another one. And for Veo 3, just go to Gemini, there you can make 3 videos per day on Veo 3.
It worked for me, I saw a tutorial in Portuguese on how to do this, I believe there must be one in English and other languages too.

do you still need to give credit card credentials or anything like that?

I can't say for sure... Because in my main Google account, the credit card is already registered.

watching tutorials, it seems you need to give credit card creds. can't you remember if you have given your credit card creds to google when registering for veo?

As I mentioned before, I linked it to my main account, and I have my credit card registered in that account (since it is the account I also use for mobile games, so the card is already registered).

Added another good generation to my shared drive. This time with KlingAI 2.1. Audio is rubbish though.
360 camera rotation around a frozen subject. Nudity is not allowed but skimpy clothes seems to pass the sniff test
I'll make more with this pattern once I get more credit with different subjects.

Happy Friday!
I have uploaded another 20 or so mannequin-themed AI video concepts onto my share drive (some are variants of each other). We're really getting the hang of using Kling AI now.
Hope you enjoy! And let me know if there's a theme or concept you'd like me to try and create (include a starting image as the reference point).

thanks very much @freezefantasy ! What prompts do you use to make character freeze in position ?
cheers

The pattern is "A realistic mannequin sits/stands rigidly [DESCRIBE SCENE], [SOME ACTION/INTERACTION], [MANNEQUIN'S REACTION], static camera remains stationary / tracks the mannequin"
For example:
"A realistic mannequin sits rigidly on a white sofa's edge in a modern living room, a basketball suddenly strikes its head, causing stiff backward collapse onto the floor as the static camera tracks the mannequin downward, maintaining clinical stillness amidst scattered cushions and an abstract painting backdrop."
The most successful AI for this template right now is Kling 2.1 Standard, Image to Video, 5s Output, use Deepseek to optimise the prompt to your selected starting frame/image. Costs around 20 credits which is like $0.25 USD.
It is still hit and miss. I think it's around a 60% success rate now in terms of generating something I actually wanted and is good quality.

I've fumbled into AI to work in the opposite direction - take existing photos of actual mannequins, and use the technology to make them come to life.

After all, it's been said that a good mannequin display should look like you caught them in the middle of something, so...why not let them continue what they were doing?

Now imagine using this technology into creating commercials to promote realistic mannequin companies. Or even a step further, recreating the movie "Mannequin" using these techniques and a bit of different script writing.

I used this one for one of my instalments of "Real or Not Real" on the Living Mannequin FB group. Pretty wild seeing them suddenly move.

Totally inadvertent and unplanned, but here only one got animated, so it's like she's contemplating her still-inanimate companion:

Someone posted on a related youtube channel that its impossible for AI to make certain themes of freezing, because AI cant grasp the concept of "time freezing" or figures being stuck in a time freeze. Anyone know if there is any truth to that?

not true. There are plenty of videos in training data that features these concepts. It's just that not a lot have tried to prompt for it.
And even if not directly, you can replicate the effect by prompting everyone in a scene to be a mannequin and the main character to be the only human navigating and interacting with these realistic, lifelike dolls
We've had lots of success with this so far on Discord

It is actually possible, but for example, I can use Veo 3, 3 times a day, if I put "time stop", or similar concepts, it doesn't work, even if I put some commands that work in Veo 2 that I can use images, it doesn't work, if he was talking exclusively about Veo 3, I believe this is valid, because I have used it several times, and almost never got what I wanted, only once the video was exactly as I wanted and it worked, the rest everything went wrong, so I wouldn't say it's impossible, just that it needs to be explained very well in different ways.
One that I use in Veo 2 that I can use images is "The woman in the image is a realistic mannequin, she has the same texture as the image", and after that I do what I want to do with this mannequin.

I don't know about that. AuroBasilisk is really nailing them outta the park lately - especially in the dipping and coating department. I would consider him to be the Godfather of ASFR-related AI videos at this point.

ponch38 has also been doing some impressive AI clips in his Fembotics Industries Series. There is some freeze crossover, but it's involving display stands or deactivated / paused fembots.

I should point out that in both instances you need to be watching both artists and possibly a member of Deviantart due to the mature nature of the content.
As far as time stop: I would think the only way to accomplish that effect would be to move the "camera" around the victim. I've been able to do a few based off my living mannequin and the Star Trek cryo freeze renders, but the videos only last 5 seconds. I haven't had the time or ambition to figure out how to make them longer or even how to post them on DA.

Let me explain it differently. What the AI doesn't understand is the concept of "time stop" as a tag in and of itself. The reason is that there's not enough information collectively that describe the concept as a whole.
What you can do however is describe what a time stop scene would look like, eg. a scene with a camera moving in space with figures completely motionless and still and you'd get an equivalent to a "time stop".
What you can do is to train an AI in several scenes that look like "time stop" and so that it starts to understand what time stop is when you use it as a descriptor.

I tried to experimente some with Hailuo 2.
I don't used a pictures, the AI did make the job.
For the prompts, I made a mix between the film "Night at the Museum," heroic fantasy, and Arabian Nights, and the result isn't too bad.
I'm a novice, let me know what you think about it.
