Computers at Goonhilly satellite station, on the Lizard peninsula in Cornwall, are connected to BT's global internet protocol network.

That means users can download data at speeds of up to 100 megabits per second (Mbps).

It is thought to be the first time such high speeds have been seen at a UK internet cafe.

LH My college had a fully optical network and my download speeds were usually 5 - 7 mb/sec, that's megabytes not megabites. It made gaminga joy too since servers were all under 15ms.

that's nice i'm still wishing Either Verizon FiOS Or ADSL2+ would hurry and get to My small Ass town i'll just have to sit here and Force my self to Enjoy My 7/1 Dsl =]
