A few brief freezes during three different dance sequences in La La Land.

Can confirm. The first freeze scene, at a party, is probably the best one. Emma Stone's walking through a party where people frequently look kinda posed, though a few are moving a bit, and then outside there's people basically all posed around a pool before someone dives in. That sequence stuck out to me.
