ASFR Comic on Deviant Art
The Motel Collection is a commission I ordered from MC tek. His great art and imagination is unleashed in this comic about a man with a motel who mannequinizes women.
Re: ASFR Comic on Deviant Art
To be brutally honest, it's not very good.
The art is fine, very fine in fact, but the script is self-obsessed male voice-over. I was sick of the narrator's snide, repetitive statue commentary by page 10.
If you're into hearing a man comment on statues non-stop, I guess this is for you? Personally I think a textless version would have been better, or one where the text was the women's thoughts instead. As this is, it's basically porn for people who like going to a museum and listening to the (male) tour guide. For everyone else it's just kind of annoying and way too cheesy. :/

I have to agree with sjacomida. What really kills it for me is that the guys are total jerks. For me ASFR was never about revenge fantasies or treating the victims as literal sex objects.

The main theme of the story is about female objectification, so it looks like somebody missed the point entirely. And with all the interest this story has generated on deviant art; looks like both of your opinions are in the low minority. In the future, I suggest we try to keep the comments on the productive side and keep the negativity to yourselves. Tekka does customs on a regular basis (and incredibly well, I might add). Perhaps you can think up your own theme, write a script that appeals to your own personal tastes, pay for it, and then post it online so that all may (or may not) enjoy it for free. But I certainly won???t be holding my breath on it.
"Your beauty will be preserved forever, my dear!"

OK, wasn't wishing to be overly negative, but it's a free internet.

I am not one to usually comment on that sort of thing but being currently a moderator on the Marble Gallery dA group, I have been subjected to a lot of submissions of that story so I thought I'd chime in anyway.
I strongly dislike that story, but for reasons that I understand are mostly subjective. I have a strong tendency to dislike males in stories and this story is, as mentioned before, very male-centric. I am also not a fan of realistic 3D models either, especially the classic DAZ/Poser models that tend to go into uncanny valley territory for me. This is not a story made for me and I accept that.
However a more objective criticism I have towards the story is that it really suffers from the "one picture = one panel" format. It is cumbersome to go through for readers, it gives too much emphasis to some less important panels compared to a more traditional comic format, and sorry to say, it feels kinda lazy. Going the extra mile to arrange the panels into a proper comic format would make it better for everyone.

I agree with you such stories mostly become creepy. Speciakky ongoing stories could have the trend to start glorify sexuel violence when the male Protagonist starts to "punish" so called bitchy and unlike able women.Darkan wrote:I have a strong tendency to dislike males in stories and this story is, as mentioned before, very male-centric. .
"The Motel" is a story about two guys who kills women and sold the plastinated bodies as sex dolls. I don??t want call is a ASFR Story but disgusting.
