I just watched the new Wolverine movie trailer, you know a spinoff/prequel to the X-men movies and there is a brief moment when a woman gets turned to ice. If you see it you will know what I mean.

It's Emma Frost, so its technically not ice, but diamond. She has a diamond form which she is ideally still mobile in. Great effect though.

You mean she turned herself into a diamond and can still move around? From the trailer it looked like someone or something immobilized her.

It looked more to me like she took up a position and transformed to block an attack. Still, this is an origin story so it is possible she might not be able to move in that form. In any event, I'm fairly certain its Emma Frost since she's said to be in the movie and the character looks like her.
