Recently came across this link about David Schmoeller, the director of Tourist Trap. As with most mainstream films, the end results never live up to "what could have been" or whatever I could have come up with in my own wild imagination. I always thought the plot of Tourist Trap was good, but the actual movie never really did it for me. Anyway, I managed to come across this comment: "Schmoeller revealed he has an option to do a sequel or remake of Tourist Trap but, at this point, nobody has agreed to finance it. He does, however, have another mannequins-coming-alive movie set in a shopping mall and is working on getting the financing for it."
... Of course the article was from June 2010, but I guess we can always hope!
